How to Choose Bed and Mattress Sizes?
If you already have a bed with a certain size base that can accommodate a mattress, you need to choose a mattress according to the base's dimensions. The deviation of the mattress size in length or width should not exceed 2 inches, as the mattress will no longer be properly placed on the bed base. This will interfere with sleep and damage the mattress over time as it will bend and sag.

Determining the length of the mattress
There is a general rule when choosing the length of a mattress: sleeping on a mattress close to your height will be uncomfortable, but it should be at least 10 inches larger than the sleeper's height. So, if you are 66 inches tall, a 76-inch mattress would be suitable. If you choose a mattress for two people, select the mattress length according to the tallest partner's height.
Determining the width of the mattress
The larger the mattress width, the more room you have in your sleep. First and foremost, your current bed base and frame will give you a good starting point for the maximum width of your mattress. Next, consider any other factors that may affect the size of your mattress, such as the size of your room and your personal preferences and sleeping habits. However, we have divided mattress sizes into three main types to offer a comfortable sleeping experience. By doing this, you may prevent the inconvenience of having a mattress that is either too big or too tiny for your requirements.

Mattress and bed height
You need to choose the height based on your comfort level - it should feel comfortable when lying down. A "thin mattress" tends to sag and cannot support the spine. The average height of a mattress is 8-12 inches, sometimes up to 14 inches.
The standard bed height of an adult bed (including the mattress) is 23-25 inches, which is the height at which you can sit on your mattress and place your feet on the floor naturally. Ideally, a 90-degree angle should form between the calf and the floor when both feet are normally placed on the ground. When choosing a mattress that is too low or one placed on the floor, keep in mind that it will be much more difficult to get up and sit on such a mattress.
Things to consider when arranging the room:

- √ There must be at least a 2-feet wide passage on all three sides of a double bed, which is necessary for making the bed and is also essential if there is a wardrobe parallel to the bed. There should be enough available space when the door is open.
- √ Bedside tables are usually placed on either side of a double bed.
- √ A person needs about 40 inches of wardrobe space. If the closet space is too small, you can install them in the hallway or use bed drawers, cushioned stools, and bedside tables as alternatives. Another solution is a bed with a lifting mechanism and storage drawers.
- √ The bedroom should have at least one full-length mirror for you to see your entire body. It is best to use a wardrobe with a mirrored door.
- √ If there are hanging drawers or niches above the bed, the distance between them and the headboard should be at least 4 inches.
